The International Trade Fair of Flamenco Fashion (FIMAF) 2018 stars engines for its new edition. This event will be celebrated on February 24th and 25th in the Automobile and Fashion Museum of Málaga. The FIMAF births its third edition this year and its objective is to drive up the flamenco fashion in Málaga. This event celebration involves a showcase for the promotion and consolidation of brands and designers inside this enriched and growing Fashion sector.
FIMAF 2018 is organised by NUEVAMODA PRODUCCIONES y MAKYRE EVENTOS CON 2 TACONES being sponsored by Cafés Santa Cristina and the sign of Málaga de Moda from Málaga Provincial Council, and the collaboration of Málaga Town Hall, the Automobile anf Fashion Museum of Málaga, Verdecora, Onda cero, Antonio Eloy, Arteness and Portal Flamenco.
For the press presentation we had relied on Joao Magalhaes, owner of the Automobile and Fashion Museum of Málaga collection; Patricia Olivares, representing Café Santa Cristina; Jacobo Florido Diputado, representing Málaga de Moda; Málaga Provincial Council; Maria José González and Macarena Regueira, FIMAF organisers.
Jacobo Florido highlighted the need to support activities like FIMAF, as much as public sector as private one.
Joao Magalhaes has made reference to the importance and transcendence of flamenco fashion at international level.
This event enables local brads to have Flamenco Fashion space in their own city, acting as showcase of new trends in the sector. It is a place for showing their collections before specialized public surrendered to Flamenco Fashion. At FIMAF 2018, you are enjoying not only the most leading brands of Flamenco Fashion of Málaga, but also approaches of referential brands at national level.
Extended Stands and Flamenco Fashion Show Areas
FIMAF 2018 will have exposition and Fashion Show areas, with the brands and designers will take part in this new edition. Everything needed for representing the art of Flamenco Fashion World. More than forty brands will participate in this second edition.
STANDS AREA
The Stands area will be composed by representative brans from Flamenco Fashion and Beauty sector, giving visitors everything needed to achieve the best updates. With free access the event opening timetable will be from 11:00 am to 21:00 pm both days.
FASHION SHOW AREA
The Fashion Shows will be programed morning and evening during Saturday and Sunday. The hairdressing team will be formed by Antonio Eloy, and the makeup team will be managed by Arteness. On the Fashion Show it will be seen the Flamenco Fashion collections for this year. These are the brands will be showed:
Saturday February 24th

17:00h – Contest: Young Designer of Flamenco Fashion by Cafés Santa Cristina.
18:00h –Málaga de Moda Fashion show: Rocio Montserrat, Jorge Sanchez and Pilar Arregui.
20:00h – Francisco Morales y Astrid Hohle.

Contest: “Novel Designers of Flamenco Fashion Café Santa Cristina”
En su apuesta por apoyar el talento de los jóvenes diseñadores de moda flamenca, FIMAF y Cafés Santa Cristina organizan por segundo año el concurso ‘Diseñadores Nóveles de Moda Flamenca Cafés Santa Cristina’. La iniciativa ofrece a los diseñadores emergentes malagueños la posibilidad de diseñar y confeccionar seis vestidos de flamenca que tengan como base el color verde de Cafés Santa Cristina, el rojo, el blanco y el amarillo. Pudiendo ser usado de forma individual o combinados entre sí.
In support with the talent of the young designers of Flamenco Fashion, FIMAF and Cafés Santa Cristina organise for second year the contest “Novel Designers of ”
Until January 31st you can consult our bases, the finalists will parade their suits at the initial gala of the show the next February 24th. An expert jury chosen by Cafés Santa Cristina will select the winner, who will receive the award to “Young Designer of Flamenco Fashion.” This will consist in the design and confection of ten Flamenco suits from the promotion than Cafés Santa Cristina will develop for the Festival of Málaga in August.
About FIMAF, the International Trade Fair of Flamenco Fashion in Málaga
In 2016 born FIMAF, the first Flamenco Fashion Trade Fair celebrated in Málaga. More than five thousand visitors came to FIMAF during the two days of the event. Finally, brands and designers have a space to reclaim their talent and to show their work. And, on this way, public will have an awesome opportunity for knowing last trends in Flamenco Fashion for the festivals and pilgrimages this fall and summer.
FIMAF is a special meeting point, where flamenco is represented everywhere. The objective of this event is to promote, to develop and to diffuse the Flamenco internationally as singular element of Andalusian Patrimony. FIMAF wants everyone to know Flamenco as a hole, at musical level (with live shows), at cultural, educative, touristic level as well (developed in the capital of Costa del Sol) and, especially as Fashion product (Fashion shows by the best designers).
